The Half & Half Spanish Bullet
Somewhere in Spain, a competition angler was tying Perdigons at 2am, ran out of one color of thread, grabbed another, shrugged, and accidentally invented one of the deadliest nymph variations in modern fly fishing (problably). We call it the Half & Half Spanish Bullet Perdigon. The Spanish call it perfecto (maybe?). The trout call it dinner.
The concept is simple: two colors, one fly, zero apologies. The body is split down the middle — half one color, half another — because why commit to one thing when you can be two things simultaneously and catch twice as many fish? It's the fly equivalent of ordering two entrees at a restaurant and feeling great about it. No hotspot. No gimmicks. Just two colors doing the work and letting the fish figure out the rest.
The bullet profile is pure Perdigon engineering — slick, hydrodynamic, and coated in UV resin so smooth it practically offends the water on the way down. It sinks like a tiny torpedo with a fashion sense, cuts through the current like it has somewhere important to be, and arrives at the strike zone before your indicator has even thought about moving.
This fly doesn't need a hotspot to get attention. The two-tone body is the trigger. Minimalist. Confident. Slightly smug about it.
- Half & half body — two colors, one fly, no hotspot, no regrets
- Bullet-shaped Perdigon profile — sinks fast, fishes deep, takes no prisoners
- UV resin finish — smoother than your best cast, more durable than your excuses
- Jig-style hook — rides hook-point-up, snag-resistant, and ready for business
- Effective on tailwaters, freestone rivers, and anywhere trout are being difficult
- Inspired by Spanish competition anglers who were too tired to care and accidentally changed fly fishing forever (we made that up)
